Name: Brantly Thompson
Birth date: October 26
Place of birth: New Orleans, Louisiana
Favorite album of all time? Shout at the Devil
What is the first CD or LP you ever bought? Wait, What?! There was/is something besides iTunes??
Favorite musician, band or group: I could not list just one.
As you describe yourself ? Scorpio, 5'10", blue eyes and likes long walks on the beach...haha

Brantly, who has been your vocal influences throughout your career?
Mike Patton, Scott Weiland, Sebastian Bach and of course being from New Orleans and growing up in Texas, Phil Anselmo. There are obviously quite a bit more...but anyone that has swagger, attitude and that thing that sets them apart from everyone else. SET the trend, don't follow it. I don't much care about vocal chops...just make me feel something.

Who were the bands or musicians who had the greatest influence on you?
Of course the legends like AC/DC, Aerosmith, Bowie, Kiss...the list can go on and on. They all helped lay the tracks from an early age for this insane roller coaster we're riding.

Almost everyone has a song that is special, you would like to reveal what is your song special and why?

Paul McCartney and Wings - Band on the very first memory of hearing music. Existence became life at that point.

How do you describe the sound of "Brand New Machine"?
Unapologetic, raw rock and roll...nothing contrived. Brand New Machine is more than a band, it's a lifestyle; and I'm thankful for the life it brings.

What is next for "Brand New Machine", any new albums, or tours on the way?
Our debut single "Girls Like You" came out on rock radio May 14 and the new album "The Devil Made Me Do It" drops July 23rd so we'll be back out on tour in support of the release. Check out: or on Facebook for news, updates, and tour dates we'll be releasing soon.

To end the interview, a phrase you want to leave ....
"I'm not bad, just good at sin...the devil made me do it gonna do it again."
