As you describe yourself ? Just me
Scott, how did you become a guitarist? What inspired you to learn?
It was hearing Yngwie Malmsteen, who inspired me to pick up the guitar.
Despite he's playing really fast at times, it was the slower stuff that really touched me, especially the song "Black Star".
Who is your favorite guitar player of all time?
That is Yngwie Malmsteen among others like John Sykes, George Lynch and John Norum.
Almost everyone has a song that is special, you would like to reveal what is your song special and why?
From my own songs it would be "Stranded". I was carrying this song around for a long time, actually for about 10 years. I re-wrote and re-arranged some parts and on the last album it finally worked out. Also because of the great job our singer Steven Mageney did on this song. One of my all time favorite songs is "Don’t stop me now" by Queen. Funny it has almost no guitar in it. It has such a positive feeling, a all time motivation song.
Who has been your guitar influences throughout your career?
Of course my favorite players from above but also bands like Queen, Whitesnake, Def Leppard, Scorpions, Queensryche and many more.
What are your next projects?
Right now I'm writing songs for the next Crystal Ball album. I'm also doing the pre production. It should be out in spring 2015. This takes up most of my energy. There are some shows coming up in November this year.
